5th wheel air hitch

Does anyone have any experience and advice on the effectiveness of air hitches to improve the truck and trailer ride? I am currently looking at the Trailsaver TS3 or Airsafe Omni-directional 20k.

I have been using the trailersaver BD3 from Hensley for several years, wouldn't be without it. Expensive yes, worth every penny. Had a Reese 16K prior to the BD3, no comparison.

Do I need to inflate and deflate the airbags at each couple-up or de-couple?

If you are asking about the BD3 the answer is no you don't. In the few years I have had mine I have never deflated it.

Hensley Trailer Saver

I have a Trailer Saver and I really love it. I get good control, a great ride and it is super easy to hook up

I also have the BD3 and love it. I have never had to deflate or reinflate the air bags. But I do check them with every hook up. We owned the Hensley Arrow for our TT previously. It was the best investment we ever made. Great people to deal with and ask questions Good luck.

I have the airsafe hitch. The only time I deflate the bags is when I remove the hitch in the winter. Not needed but I just do it then after I reinstall it, check it if the ride doesn't feel right. Beautiful ride.

we have had our reese/ easyrider 20K airhitch sine April of 2001. I will not tell you because it has been so long towing with a steel to steel hitch how much difference it is for our truck but I know it makes for a nice ride for the fifth wheel and the items inside. labarn

When I looked at the various airrides mentioned, it looked like the could be a tow level problem in my newer GMC 2500hd. The bed is so high I was concerned with having to have the 5er lifted. I ended up with another type hitch but I think those airrides sure look sweet. I did end up with firestone airbags also though.
