5th wheel hitch bending

I have a 32 RL that weighs about 11,200 pounds and I have a Hitchhiker 16K slider that I have noted that the steel where the slide bar slides into is bending from the pulling action of the trailer. Has anyone seen this before?

Yeah, I took it to the dealer and they took pictures and sent it to Demco for warranty repair. Demco replied asking when the hitch was installed and how much does your trailer weigh. So at least they are not just saying, yeah it is okay, don't worry about it..... I am a bit concerned that if they do replace the head that the new one will just do the same thing. I am thinking that I may need to upgrade to a better, stronger hitch.
