I do believe all the majors are safe and exhibit the same ease of parking.

Not if he has a short bed Pickup. The superglide is pretty awesome, has only four holes in the bed, easy to remove (but heavy). I'm sure there are plenty of other options that meet the requirements also.

Your implication being that if he has a short bed the major manufacturers hitchs are unsafe? I have a short bed, does that mean that the Reese 16K that I have is unsafe? Why go to a more expensive hitch like the superglide when a regular hitch will suffice? Most folks don't take the rails out anyway, just the hitch, which is 4 pins on mine.

I am only implying that if you take a short bed truck and a conventional fifth wheel, you may put the rear window of your truck out in a steep turn or backing into a space. You need a slider or an extended pin box or a revolution or whatever, but without this caution the OP may have a problem.
OR AM I WRONG ABOUT THAT?

You are correct in this statement, but the previous post was a bit misleading IMO.

IMO, partially correct. If one puts thereselves in an extreme condition, then yes. Recommend looking at the 5th wheel cap. Most manufacturers are designing them for tight radius turns. I have a short bed with a 15K Reese which I do not need a slider. IMO, the additional investment isn't needed in my case.

I have put my rear window out in a previous lifetime (same truck and different camping situation) so I am pretty sensitive toward that.
If ALL the new units are ok then that is pretty cool.

I would put it in the forward or middle position and all the way up. Then you can adjust it after you tow with it and see if she sits level or not. That way you can at least get her home without having to adjust the hitch before leaving and you shouldn't have any clearance issues that way.

Jealous of the truck.. I love my 06 but would love a drw better...if I was not a short bed it would allready have a new bed and extra wheels, so next week we start the process of ordering a 2013 or 14
