I lock mine but I also put the loop of the break away cable through the padlock so it doesnt get forgotten as well.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

Same as stated above - with a Pullrite, you can't pull the handle with weight on the truck. We don't leave the rig unattended anymore. We stop for lunch en route IN the rig. No fuel stops - we have an aux fuel tank.

X4 also. I also have another Long loop pad lock on the main pivot pin for the head of the 5th wheel. 4 pad locks keyed a-like of the 4 corner mounting pins to truck bed. I have heard of 5th wheel hitches making their way to junk buyers

I lock ours but years ago in the 1980s early 90s I came up a great deal on keyed alike Master locks so I have more locks than I do pins. For me it is easier to get a lock out of the center console as there are several, but I would have to hunt for a pin to put in the handle. But when we stop I also check the hitch & rig out by just a quick walk around worst thing we have had so far is a dirty diaper thrown in the bed of the truck.

I always lock, I also put the loupe of the brake away cable through it so it can not shake or vibrate off

As stated before, I lock. I made the latch handle a "T" and shortened the 'break away' cable so it is 'pulled' before the pin can engage the Butch's hitch saver and loop it over the "T" handle.

I lock the hitch handle, I also use a locking pin at the bed rails, and lock up the bikes on the back. I figure it is for couple of reason: someone that may walk by and think it is funny to play around with your hitch or bikes and theft. It does not take long to lock everything up
