Question 5vr hitch?

This may read stupid, but; Has anyone had their dealer supply a hitch for your 5th wheel?
When we bought our TT, that"dealer" charged us 600$ for equalizer and sway bar hitch. Found out later that these are included in purchase. My buddy, whose pulled every kind of camper made, including a 40' TT, says his 5th wheel hitches have always come with his trailers. Anybody?

Ours is included with our deal too. Saying that, the dealer Ii looked at first was going to charge us $1500.00 for the hitch, plus wanted almost 6,000.00 more on the same unit.

It's all in the negotiation. You can ask for it to be included in the purchase. Our dealer was willing to include a cheaper hitch, we want reese dual cam. We compromised and paid the difference between the two hitches. If you buy a 5ers you can negotiate the hitch in but understand that the dealer gas worked the price of that hitch somewhere into the deal. Meaning, you probably paid more for the trailer than you might have without the hitch but this is a good way to get it included in your financing if not buying the trailer outright.

nobody is getting a free hitch, it's in there somewhere. Way better hitch deals online that what dealer will give you.

X2...I surfed the web when looking for my Pullrite and got a killer deal from PPL and delivered to my door free plus I get the hitch I want and not what's convenient for the Dealer to sell you

All true, I first negotiated the 5Ver price then told dealer throw in hitch and he has a deal. Worked for me. That way he couldn't add on to price. Maybe I paid too much to begin with, never know. I was happy.

that just means there was more negotiation room if they had no problem "giving" you a hitch. Either way, if you are happy in the end, then that's what matters.

X2. I'm in the same boat right now, I already have the turnover ball in my truck, and the Companion from Tweety's is $879. The dealer can't even get that close on the same hitch. I'll buy it and install it myself.

You'll love it!
Get the new 3500, its so simple to use. But honestly the 3000 isn't too bad, but not as easy as the 3500

I've got a slight weight problem. I'm installing turnover and companion, btw. This combo weighs 320lbs. Going to do it. Only the best. But I'll be over pin weight, I believe. Encourage me to diet!

Yep, they give away nothing for free. I did my shopping, knew my numbers and got them to a reasonable price on the unit and a very good rate on the hitch installed. I went with a B&W flipover gooseneck and Andersen hitch and got a good price on the set installed.

Just as stated, end of the day I was happy.
