I'm actually in the process of doing the same - having a shop install some Air Lift bags with an onboard hands free AUTO adjuster - got quoted about $1000 out the door

That's the question I had with these. It seems like if it "takes the sag out" and "returns it back to level" then it is raising the rear and taking weight off the torsion bars?

Guess I don't understand how this works.

An even easier and more convenient option is a motorcycle or bicycle tire repair kit that uses the small CO2 cartridges. Screw on the hose, squeeze the trigger and up she goes!

The Craftsman C3 inflator is really nice because it has a built in digital air gauge. I check the air bag pressure daily when towing.

Waiting on delivery of 2017 F350 SRW Supercab, I believe in airbags so much that a set of Airlift 5000 along with the wireless compressor system is setting at my house just waiting to be installed. I prefer more of a ridged ride, not the float feeling, On my F250 I could usually run them around 35 psi for a really stable and level ride, but on occasion I've had them up to 60 psi depending on the road. Will never be without them.

I have the same and the bags have the internal jounce. Installed myself though and like progressive insurance, saved a butt load of money

I put mine on yesterday took little longer as I had to loosen the Deft tank to get at the drivers side bracket. Took a few breaks to warm up. All in all around 5 hours, was not in any rush. I also put in airline anti freeze, got that at Autozone. Did this even though the new system has an automatic water filter it is before the manifold.

If you think you need air bags in order to tow your trailer with an F250, you probably need an F350.

Airbags are for payload.
WDH is for tongue load.

Airbags may help things feel a little bit better. But don't count on 1 to do the other's job.

The brakeman, I agree if you are installing air bags to increase payload it may be wise to step up a size. However I disagree in that it is the only reason for airbags. Even new trucks squat more and may be completely with in the weight requirements, but may not be level or tend to be bouncy. Air bags help immensely with these problems. If you do the research it's the main reason dodge is installing them from factory. Dodge says not to exceed the payload even though the airbags can certainly do this.

I like the bags for the air ride type gain from them.
