Air Bags & 5th Hitchs on Ford F350

If you are putting air bags and 5th wheel hitch on Ford F250 or F350 make sure you put the air bags on first if using a custom bed rail kit. The brace for the 5th wheel hitch covers the holding bracket mounting hole after installed, air bags first. Lesson learn hard way, had to remove custom brace in order to install air bag.

I did hitch first on mine then airbags. Didn't have to take custom bracket back off but it did have to take the large bolt in center back out. Killed me getting it torqued to spec which was like 215 ft/lbs and then finding out I had to do it again.

I had to take the side plates of my B&W hitches on both my '10 F350 and my '13 F350 to get the airbag bracket bolts in too. A bit of an inconvenience but all it took is retorquing the bolts. The bags were well worth the trouble!!
