I've got an old school deflector. Stability increases in windy conditions and I seem to get less transport truck suck when they come alongside.
Mileage may increase but it would be a small percentage at best.
It's the control increase that I was hoping to get and have. Nothin like forcing a brick hauling a bigger brick through the wind.
The idea has been incorporated in the new trailer designs with V fronts and rounded 5th wheels so there must be some benefit to the slip stream effect.
