AirLift brand air bags

Is anyone running AirLift brand air bags on their TV? I put a set on my Silverado and they work great, but tend to lose air pressure more quickly than I might have thought. I checked all of the fittings on the air lines and sprayed them with soapy water, but can't find a leak - at least one that is noticable - but they still lose air at the rate of about 1 lb every couple of minutes. Fortunately, I also installed an on-board compressor, so re-inflating them isn't a problem, just annoying. Any thoughts?

I have the 5000s on mine and I lose pressure sometimes at pressures <15 psi. It would seem you could hear pressure like that escaping. Maybe the plastic compressor housing?

I have the Firestone airbags on my Silverado and do not loose any pressure....now. When first installed lost pressure out of one but not the other. The problem was that the air tube was not cut evenly where it fit into the gauge. Tube was pulled and cut evenly and now I don't loose any pressure at all.

These are the 5000's, too. I checked the connection at the front of the plastic compressor, but didn't think to check the compressor itself. I'm thinking it is sealed, so no opening it, but you are right...you would think that I could hear it at that rate.

1 lb every 2 minutes is a big leak! there has got to be something leaking somewhere! I have the Arlifts on mine and the most they lose is 3-4lbs in 4-5 days in very cold weather.

Yes, you have a bad leak somewhere. I don't lose a pound in 3 days. You are losing it in minutes.

Took the AirLift bags off my 95 Silverado, installed them on my 2000 and then to my 2005 and have never had a leak in over 15 yrs. The only time the onboard compressor comes on is if the pressure is set at 10 or 15 lbs and I hit a bit bump and it releases out of the dash control. I would suspect a leak somewhere around the compressor or the dash control unless it is the wireless type.

Nope, it is the wired compressor.

I would pump them up to max pressure and do a soapy water check on all fittings again and if nothing shows, concentrate on the compressor connection and case. Mine has been under the truck for 7 yrs and I don't remember what it looks like. (CRS has taken over)

I put the 5000 on a few weeks ago and have only towed once (sure is great) I also have the load controllerII mine is set @ 5psi then self inflates, I can let it sit for days and I lose no air. check the air lines for straight cut . I have about 6 t fittings and none leak

I have the Air Lift bags (w/o compressor) and they don't leak at all. I can go months and they will still be the same pressure. You need to do the soapy water test starting with the bags (spray the bags too not just the fittings) allt the way up to the controller in the cab.. By the way, they work great...

I'm running Air Lift on my H3 and have had no leaks; running Firestone on my Silverado and no leaks. Neither system has a built in compressor.

I recently installed Air Lift bags (w/o compressor) and I have not noticed any leaking.

When you haul your trailer how much pressure do you put in your bags. I have the Ride Control on my Ram 1500. I had 40 lbs on each side during the last trip and it seemed OK.

I would consider removing the compressor from the system. Mount the air fill valve near each bag and fill them to 75 lbs. Check to see if they are leaking. Then you will have a good Idea where to go next.

Installed the 5000's about 3 weeks ago... been sitting on the truck without a loss of 1lb at 15 LBS since then.

(No compressor)
