all set up to tow jeep Cherokee

Hi all finally got this sorted using blue ox equipment
The attached photo shows one mistake if you can spot it

Cable from van to car on top of tow bar not underneath possible wearing on cable. Fitted baseplate myself

Your plug is coated may I wish you long life, that's not going to wear through in your life time IMO.

Wasn't that fun? Fitted my Honda CRV myself. Could not have done it if I didn't have video from Blue Ox on installation procedure. Set tablet up on work bench and went step by step.

Maybe missing break away cable, and or not within equal height tolerance?

I see a breakaway cable, it is a red coiled wire. But I question the safety cable hook on the baseplate, why is it sitting so high as if it does not fit in eye?

x2 on the height difference, should be no more than 3 inches. Could just be the way we are looking at it.

From the pic it does look like the towbar release on the passenger side is showing that not extended and locked in.

With the coatings on the cables these days I don’t think you will wear through them.
