The 3500HD would you get a single or dual wheel? We were next to you at Goshen last year and I also got the self adjusting brakes from Lippert. How have they been performing? I am completely satisfied .
Thanks
I like the 12-13K (30-32 foot) 5th wheel size and have no desire for anything longer/heavier. The newer GMC 3500HD's SRW have plenty of reserve capacity at that size.

Sorry, but your ability to haul things around in any vehicle is going to be further limited by whatever equipment is in/on the truck. Given a specific frame, engine, transmission, axle, you will have certain ratings. Slap a basic cab long-bed on that frame, and you will have more cargo capacity compared to slapping on a crew-cab short-bed. Add a bunch of interior options (that have mass) and your capacity goes down more. Put a lot of passengers in the truck and capacity goes down. Etc, etc.

Yep, it can get confusing when you look in depth at the numbers...max payload in a diesel 3500 SRW would be by pick...IMO

Well, I found one of three 2014 Short bed SRW F350 Lariat 4x4 trucks in the Greater Houston Area and purchased it tonight! No more payload concerns, no more worries about 4wd. I loved the truck before I pulled off the dealer lot. Now I need to go put some miles on this rig, it needs to hitched up to the trailer next Saturday for a week long vacation!

Got the same truck in the grey but I always loved the white/tan combo. Very nice!

Me too

Got a 2013. Same configuration but in Kodiak brown with the tan trim. Pulls my Sabre 32RCTS like it isn't there. Let her cool down with the engine running after a long hot pull so she does not overheat. I have shut mine off after a long hot climb ( I live in AZ) and she overheated.

Enjoy
