I also added a clip hook to the safety brake line to make connects easier. Everytime I decide to clear my truck bed when not towing I'm reminded what a great idea it is to have a 32# hitch ;-).
Here, here, I don't want any hernia for sure. I also have a setup question. What made you decide on curt cables vs factory chains and how did you fasten them to the trailer without the loop bolts Anderson sells with the chains? Are they sold according to weight or one size fits all?

Anderson Ultimate 5th wheel hitch

Pullrite is bringing out their own version of the Anderson hitch. It has a couple of features that that I think are very good. Pictures andl technical information is on their website. Not sure of the pricing as it won't be available until later in January.

I called several rv suppliers and none of them new anything about it.

I looked and agree with you. It's heavier but I do like the guide cup for the hitch ball. Looks like it clips into rails which I don't like, but maybe I'm not looking at picture right.

I also use the Andersen. Very easy to put in/take out of the truck. Another great thing I have found is Andersen's Customer Service. I have called them a few times with questions. They are extremely helpful. If you have any doubts, call them first.

Does this hitch fit in a fifth wheel preped 2014 Ford F250? I am currently using a gooseneck adapter and also wonder if this would pull any different.

Probably but you really need to go to their site to answer your question. I'm not sure I know what a 5th wheel prep is for a Ford.

When you say your using a gooseneck adapter I assume you have the ball in the bed of your truck. I have no comparison to pulling a 5er with the adapter. Comparing a Curt 16K E series 5th wheel hitch to Anderson is like changing from a Pinto (hope you know this is a car) to a Cadillac. No more slamming, bucking, or jerking. The Anderson is like your TV and TT are one piece of machinery working together all the time not some of the time.

I know I am biased but the Anderson is a really great design that fills my needs 100%. No I do not represent the company in any way, just in case you want to know.

Have had the Anderson Hitch for6 months. No noise, no bucking and light weight. Use it in our 2013 GMC 2500 HD. No need for slider.
Where do you guys buy the safety chains? Would like to install them.

I found the chain kit on their web site on Amazon and on EBAY Anderson # 3230. Gonna order a set myself.

There is now a new Pullrite ISR Super Lite 20K hitch that is just coming out. Very similar to the Anderson but looks a little better built to me...
