Anderson hitch

I ran across a video of about Anderson sway control hitch's. Quite the departure from what I'm used to. But it looks quite effective. I'm still trying to set up my staraighline with no luck. Actually broke my foot trying (long sad story of stupidity). Anyone using the Anderson hitch, and what do you think of it?

I have it and like it although it doesn't transfer enough to my front axle.

Do a search for anderson hitch and will come back with a large debate/opinions

Just a suggestion. There are hundreds of threads and posts on the Anderson, in this section.
By doing a simple search, you could get all the info and reviews you'd need, since it has been discussed quite often.

A buddy of mine, a cop, made it for me. I don't know but it may have started out as a T shirt. It is cool though. Thanks. And congrats on retiring :-)

I also have the Anderson hitch, everything they claim in the videos and on their website is correct. I will not go back to a conventional 5th wheel hitch any time soon, just imagine lugging a 200+ # hitch compared to a 75 # one.

Hondaman, if you have enough clearance between the truck and the trailer you could rotate the hitch 180 deg. to get more weight transferred to the front of the truck.

Are you guys talking fifth wheel vs. travel trailer? I thought the OP was talking about a TT but I think cypress is talking about a fifth wheel.
