I guess gas drivers like hearing their trucks engine work. I prefer to set my cruise on relax and ride. A little satellite radio for background noise and enjoy the drive. My wife is usually reading on her nook, so all is good.
As do we, put in in Tow/Haul mod and set the cruise at 60, except we listen to books on tape.
And bottom line they both pull a trailer from point A to point B. The diesel boys keep trying to convince the gassers how much better they are and the gasser boys JUST DON'T CARE. I guess they are just trying to convince themselves they made the best choice for themselves. No other reason they keep hounding everyone on how much better a diesel pulls like it's something that was just discovered and put on the market. If you pull a load from A to B in a set amount of time, what makes the difference in how it was pulled and why is one way of pulling it better than the other?
OC you said it the best that I have read in this thread. If you have what is needed to do the job who really cares if it is gas or diesel? Yes I am a diesel owner but I have also had my fair share of gassers. It really boils down to personal preference and that's it.
I personally bought my new diesel because I use diesel trucks for work and I love diesels. However, gas will do the same thing a diesel does. I also bought a diesel because I tow much much much heaver loads than just a TT so it was a good choice for me. Would the right gasser have done the same? Yes it would have. As I stated before neither gasser owners nor diesel owners have the right to bash the other. It all boils down to personal preference and what you like better! Just my two cents

I totally agree!! I thought I had enough in an 8.1L DRW 4x4 CC, but I didn't..I had to have a diesel! WELL, OK, maybe not HAD to have, but it sure has been nice!
Yep ... same as me. The Hummer H2 could have towed it as long as I didn't approach the GVWR of the trailer, although, still illegal. I would rather not run that 6.2 (415 ft-lbs) up the Appalachian Plateau and Blue Ridge Mountain interstates at 40 mph. I would rather run with traffic at almost double the rated torque (800 ft-lbs) hence diesel power!
