Well that blows!
7K for miles run is or should be nothing and no reason for it to let go.

Was it very hot there?

dang it, I hate this happened to you, dcheatwood.

I'm about to the point that I don't even want to drag ours home from Bayou Outdoor tomorrow with the original tires on it, and we've only towed it less than 300 miles so far.

This is getting ridiculous.

Did you see or hear it blow? Or was it a slow leak then it got torn up like that?

Glad you are wife are ok, could have been much more serious. I have a 2014 Rockwood 8289ws that I bought new Oct 2014 from Primeaux RV in Carencro. Other then some short trips we just got back from Disneyworld 700 miles each way from Watson, LA. Have the same POS Trail express (chinese Crap) tires on mine. I tow at 60 mph because they are only rated for 65mph. Before I left I made sure air pressure was 50 psig on all four tires and all lug nuts torqued to 100 psi. When they go I haven't decided to go with a trailer tire or LT tire. Kind of leaning toward LT tires. Anyway glad it wasn't worse Dave

Better bite the bullet and just go ahead and get 4 new GY Marathon LR D tires mounted and balanced while you're in town and order the TST TPMS before disaster hits.

Listen to your elders.

Right after I bought The Beast, I had Cooper SRM II LT's installed 'cause I knew I was headed to FLA and back and didn't want to have an incident or worry myself sick all trip. I kept the Blowmaster's and gave them to a friend in trade for cutting my lawn while I was away. He needed rubber since his Montana was 'new to him' and had mis-matched LT's on it. I warned him that although they were a year old and looked new that I took NO responsibility if they grenade themselves. I mentioned the reason I swapped out four new-ish tires was because I didn't trust the offshore crap. Well, he had two blowouts within a year and the last one ripped up his under flooring and took out a fender skirt. I felt bad but he was forwarned. Funny thing is....he's still a friend.

Ok. Just bought 4 new marathon LRD. Will have them balanced and installed Sunday when we hook up to head home. Can't believe Wally world in canton had just gotten a shipment in. 3 miles from campground and nothing else within an hours drive.

I felt traiker shake and looked in sideview mirror in time to see tread fly across the hwy. Had just checked all 4 when we left home about an hour earlier. 50 psi. Thanks for condolences.

Guess we have been lucky! Bought our 2014 Flagstaff 8528IKWS late last year. Took delivery in December and started out for an extended trip in February till June. Put on 15K miles on new truck and 7k - 8k on the 5'er. Fortunately swapped out the load range C Chinese tires for some dealer recommended load range D tires prior to going out. Guess the tire mfg on the original equipment. That's right -Trail Express

dcheatwood:Sorry 'bout your experience
