Another tongue weight question

I see the GVW, cargo weight and tongue weight listed on the factory websites. Is the tongue weight based on the dry weight or the loaded weight?

Dry weight. And that can be very misleading. I don't think the battery or full propane tanks are included in with that. My empty tongue weight was 80 lbs. more than what was listed as the empty tongue weight.

Anything you see published by the factory (EXCEPT Maximum Allowable Gross Weight (GVWR)) is the empty weight without installed factory options.
Printed material tongue weight is the tongue weight dead empty.

The "Yellow Sticker" weight is the factory "as built" weight and DOES include factory options (like the ladder, air conditioning, upgrades, heavy counter tops and other weighty options). The "Yellow Sticker" tongue weight must be determined on a CAT Scale because THAT tongue weight does not appear on the yellow sticker.

Additionally, tongue weight is altered by how, and what, your personal items are and where you load them for travel.

In any case, for safe handling and towing, the tongue weight MUST fall between 10 and 15% of the entire weight of the camper. The optimum distribution of camper loading will put 12 percent or so on the tongue.

For example, a properly loaded 10,000 pound trailer will have a 1200 pound tongue load (BEFORE you connect the weight distribution bars).
