I get 8 steady with my 6.0 2500 chevy 2015 with 4.10 gear. I get 18 to 19 non towing.

Before I got the new chevy I had almost bought the Dodge ram 2500 with the 6.4 gas, just wonder what kind of mileage this would have gotten.

For those buying the diesels can you justify the tv price you pay and how long is it going to take you to recoup the cost. I couldn't as this is not my main transportation. Later RJD

You can order a Max Tow/ Max Payload in a 8 ft box that approaches he payload of some other trucks within 100 lbs. I would consider it a HD for the simple fact it has Payload and definitely has the power to to compared to regular gas engines in some others.

I am very pleased with my TV pulling the 5er. (See sig)
I got 10.1 mpg on my trip to Ludington yesterday. Actually recently went to mid grade fuel as suggested by my tuner at Black Bear Performance and it made a noticable difference in power. Pulling most of the time in OD at 65 mph, down to 3rd on the michigan hills occasionally.

I can recoup my money when I sell it. My truck is 8 years old with 80k on it right now. I can sell it all day long for $8,000 less than it sold for new. Can't say that for the gassers. Plus, at 200k miles, a gasser TV is wore out. A diesel is about halfway there.

Everybody talks about maintenance of a diesel costing sooooo much. So far, it has been a wash between my diesel and my old gasser. Only difference is my diesel takes 1 more gallon of oil, but I go 2k more miles between changes. And I replace my $28.00 fuel filter once a year.

to add to this, I did all the math a few months after I switched to diesel 2 years ago. Figured out the exact fuel cost per mile with new and old TV. Was saving 19 cents per mile with diesel, and gas a diesel had a much larger gap between the 2 then. Within 36,000 miles, the diesel option is paid for. So for the next 300,000 for example, you are saving 57,000 on fuel. You just saved enough to buy the next truck

Too many to remember. It's getting replaced and going to my 16 year old for his first car. Getting a gas powered f250. Hopefully it goes as far as the Chevy
