Question Anybody use a Draw Tite WDH on a V-Lite

Hello all,
First time poster here. After ordering a new V Lite 30 WIKSS in January we joined this forum. What a vast amount of information on here!
After a little reading it dawned on me that my old hitch may not work due to the v configuration on the front of the new trailer. I really hate to buy a new WDH as we are set up on a seasonal site. We do plan on traveling after we retire. I just don't want to have two hitches laying around in the garage if I don't have to.
My question is ..has anybody pulled a V Lite using a Draw Tite WDH? It doesn't look like there's enough room to snap the chain locks in position.
Any input would really be appreciated!

Thanks,
Denny

The standard 27in bars with chains will snap up. You need to supply a LOT more info though. Are you going to also install Anti/sway? Round or Trunion? Read up on the setup on Reese Site and then post more info. Youroo!!

Thank you Youroo,
My bars are 31 inches long . I was only concerned about whether or not the snap locks will clear the body.
Did you have any more room beyond the 27 inch length placement?
Thanks,
Denny

Denny,

We tow with an Equal-i-zer hitch, and we just ordered a Windjammer 3008 in January...same as your V-Lite. Our salesman, who I have come to trust after two purchases, said our hitch would work, but I don't think it is the only one that will.

Youroo, what kind of a hitch do you use on your V?

Mike

Thanks Capt.Mike. When we start traveling I'm going to get an Equal I zer brand hitch. I like how they mount and have the sway control integrated. I just didn't want to buy a new hitch and use it once to pick the trailer up then store it for 3 -4 years. The dealer wanted more than the cost of a new hitch to deliver it.

Thanks Youroo! I appreciate the info. It makes me happy that I won't have to get a new hitch.
