Yep all of the time. We travels from smith Nevada to Northern California over the sierra we often have to chain our 4 wheel dodge 3500 and chain one set of trailer tires. Have gone through deep snow but really need it in icy conditions

I too chained the rear tires of the TT (and all 4 truck tires) comming down the mountain after an elk hunt for breaking traction and to stop any sliding in the muddy snowy conditions. I had them with me just for that reason because I knew what I was getting into when I went up that hill (11,000 feet elevation in Nov.)

I'm going to start another thread, but what is everyone's favorite brand (or type) of chains? I think I'm going to have to ship them to Korea because the ones they have here are marginal at best.

Now that's camping! Is the ATV for romping around, or basic transportation to stores, etc.?

I can't imagine the beating the trailer would take from bouncing up\down on chains once you hit the hard pack. Man O Man.
