Anyone use the Blue Ox Pro hitch?

I have a equalizer hitch and am considering the Blue Ox. Anyone ever use both of these that could compare these hitches? I either need to upgrade to a heavier equalizer or Blue Ox. Thanks

We had the equalizer II for our first hitch. We was having problems with sway and noise. Found the Blue Ox at the end of season 1. I would get it again if I needed to get another one. It is way easier to set up and remove from TV. The Blue ox is way better for noise and sway control. Not sure what you will be using it on as there is no info in your question. I hope this helps and Happy Camping

Firedaniel you not happy with the equalizer hitch? Just curious as I'm looking at hitches as well and honestly I was thinking a equalizer. Good luck

It works fine (just noisy) but the new RV tongue weight is too heavy for it. My old equalizer is rated at 10k/1k. I can't just change the bars so thought I would see what else is out there.

I used an EQ 4pt sway on an SOB for 2.5 years and 10,000 miles. Love hate relationship. Grease and noise were the hate part. Sway and hookup were the love part. If doing it again I'd go ProPride. Spendy but quiet and the best sway control out there.

Had the Equilzer setup on my first unit, had it moved over to the FR. The unit always popped and squeaked. FR dealer tried twice to get the unit quieted down, and the next trip out got noisy again. I traded In the Equalizer at the FROG rally in 2113 when Blue Ox was giving a rally discount. The Blue Ox tech installed and walked me through the set up on the links. Realized a difference in the way things handled and hooked up on the way home especially no sway when 18 wheelers pass. The Blue Ox has never made a noise since I have owned it. Well worth the money.

This looks like a nice hitch. How about the Andersen WD Hitch? The reviews I have read sound good. Any Andersen users out there that can give us an idea on the Andersen Hitch as well?

Firedaniel,
My trailer is much lighter, MiniLite 2503 at apox. 5,000 lbs with 475 TW. The videos on YouTube look good for my needs with Andersen. You may need a heavier setup? I would love to hear from Andersen users and see what experience shows. I checked out the Blue Ox and it looks nice. Good Luck... post what you end up doing.

Blue Ox

I have had my Blue Ox for 3 yrs and hands down the best set up and easiest to use. I used it with our 29 Starcraft and f150. I now have it with my f250 and 29ud3 Wildwood. The Blue Ox allows you to back while hooked up!!
