Those are the new style pins. There is NO hole for the pins you are talking about to go through.

Equalizer also makes a plastic pad that goes on top of the bracket, below the WD bar. It would take up some of that space that we're seeing in the picture. They are called Equal-I-zer friction pads. You can find them on Amazon.com. Sorry, I can't seem to get to amazon right now, or I'd give you a link.
I had heard they did not make them yet for the new pin style.. (might be wrong)

After I posted the picture of mine, I went to Progressive's web site and saw the new set-up. I see now. I also need to go to Tractor Supply and get me a set of these.....

I'm tired of trying to put those little pins in the holes with gloves on.

Thanks for taking the pics.

doc,

I just got the friction pads from Equalizer, along with a set of the "new style" pins. I haven't tried to put them on yet, but I will in the next day or so. Just taking them out of the package and eyeballing them, it looks like they should work. I'll let you know.

Now, I have a question for you, doc73......
Could you take a picture of the way your "L" brackets are attached? It appears they are attached with bolts and lock nuts. Mine slide into the bracket attached to the frame and then the "L" is secured by a single bolt.

Yeah, I know, the brackets need to be touched up! That's on the list for this weekend.

You have a older style. I bought a used set and could not find any setup info I emailed equalizer and they sent me the manual

Yeah, the whole Equal-i-zer rig is 6 years old now. But, with some TLC now and again, it still works like a charm.
