Augmentation Surgery
Got your attention right? HA! Just spent most of the day installing nerf bars, Du-HA, mud flaps, Amp Research rear step. Everything went fine except the mudflaps; a nightmare due to crappy hardware. 2 trips to the hardware store and 3 hours. The next time I'm going to ask how much to install mudflaps. They're going to say $1,000. I'm going to say fine . . .

1.Yes, you got my attention.
2. I had to look up Nerf bars.
3. I had to look up Du-Ha too.
4. I understood the step and the mud flaps.

Any project I touch is not complete until I have made 3 trip to a big-box store for parts.

I feel your pain. I spent three hours on what should have been a 45 minute job today. I swapped out my concertone zx75 for a new z X85. They really need to include the screws required to tighten the unit down because the ones the dealer used on the original radio had heads that were too large for the new unit and became wedged into the surrounding plastic. No problem putting the radio in but afterward I realized I had missed a connection and needed to remove the unit. What a pain in the butt. After two different hardware stores and much profanity I was finally able to hear some tunes. Btw the bozos that originally installed the first unit were pigs when it came to cleaning up after themselves after drilling and cutting the openings for the radio and wires. Where's the pride in a job well done???

Guess their dumpster was full that day!

Well, I just installed the Amp Research step today but it is very sturdy, nicely designed, and looks like it will do just fine. Easy to install; probably 20 minutes.
As for Ford's mudflap hardware . . . . that's another story altogether . .

Sounds like the mudflaps were a pain.My Dodge ones were very easy and used the screws that were already holding my flares on.

The reason we bought our last house had nothing to do with how close the schools were. It had to do with the fact there was a hardware store two blocks away !!!
