Good deal!
Thats odd though on the frame drilling. I've put one on a 04-06 dodge 2500 before and didnt have to drill. Maybe the frame is different than yours. Oh well at least your cooking with gas now!
Good luck!

That puzzles me too, as I have never seen a B&W install where any holes had to be drilled.

I know, thats why I always recommend and install b&w hitches. Because of voiding warrantys with frame drilling. Maybe the older frames had irregularities or something?
Everybody in our families have b&w, but they are all GM and Fords, but I've done several Dodge/ram installs for work and 1 friend.

Well, I thought the drilling thing was odd, too, so I crawled up under there today and looked at it--it all looks plumb and level to me, and the ball is centered, so I'm not worrying about it. Maybe Tweety's shipped the wrong hitch for my model year, maybe I have an oddball frame, who knows. The important thing is...

...That it's all finally installed! Ye-haa! I'm glad I let you folks talk me into the Companion, as it looks like a fine product and, once you set it all up the way you need it, is super easy to remove (I know, all you RVK3000 owners are a bit jealous of the 1 draw-down bolt removal process, you can admit it.) It may require some fine-tuning front-back and up-down, but I won't know until the new 5-er shows up at the dealer, which should be any day.

Seriously, thank you all for your advice and encouragement during this project. I don't think I would have kept my sanity without you all pointing me in the right direction, with all the knowledge and wisdom on this board. I'll post pics when the new camper arrives!

Yep, ur right, jealous!
My neighbor offered to buy my 3000, but I'd still need to cough up another $300 to get the 3500.
Maybe after we get the new 5er in-going on week 9 now, getting a little anxious.
