Ball hitch 2609 windjammer

I was wondering if anyone knows what size of ball you use on a 2011 rockwood windjammer 2609 trailer?

Haley79 - unless you are going to pull the Windjammer with a 1 ton, you will need a weight distributing hitch (WDH) trailer. Even then, you still need the WDH because of the sway control for the trailer that the hitch offers. The hitch will come with the receiver and the part that goes on the trailer tongue.
Are you buying a new or used WJ?

Its used from an auction sale. I was going to put on a wdh anyways, I'm curious why you say I absolutely need one, is it hard to pull? Should I install a sway control too?

We pulled our 3008W Windjammer with a 3/4 ton Silverado, and used a 12,000 # Equal-i-zer WD hitch. Towed it all over the country, up and down mountains, and never had a bit of an issue with it...it handled beautifully.

What are you going to use to pull this trailer? Does it have a heavy duty tow package from the manufacturer? And, have you pulled or owned a large travel trailer before? Without these two questions answered, I am not sure where to start or how to help.

There are thousands (literally) of references in this forum alone that will give you information on hitches, sway control, weight/tow limits for your tow vehicle, electric brake controllers, etc. There are so many things to know and think about; we all still learn new things daily.

Haley,
In order to help you with your questions, you need to post all the information you have about your towing vehicle, type of accessories it has that affect towing, and very clearly state your questions. I am ass/u/ming you are asking about the battery on the trailer, but we don't know if that is the correct question or not. To get good specific answers, you must ask good specific questions.

Let's start with Year/make/model/size of towing vehicle. Engine and transmission size and type please. Has the vehicle been given a lift kit, if so, how much? Any other modifications done to it to improve performance/towing ability?

Look at some of the forum members' signature lines or profiles and you will see we have posted a LOT of details about our TV and RVs. We need the same from you to best help.
