Ball mount height question

We tow our Apex 288BHS with and Ford Expedition EL however this weekend I need to use our F-250. The WDH is set up for the Expedition. The difference in hitch height looks to be roughly 1.5 inches higher on the F-250. Is this within the acceptable range or do I need to try to adjust hitch height on the ball mount head for the WDH? Thank you in advance for the help.

You will definitely need to adjust. Rule of thumb is that you need to be within +/- 1 inch of being level. If you are currently level with the Expy, you already know that you will be at least 1.5" high with the F250.
Plus, since the F250 has a much stiffer rear suspension, it will not squat as much. I would not doubt you will be 2.5" tongue-high with the current setup.

WDH shank typically has a universal hole spacing of 1.25". So you should try dropping the head 2 hole-spaces. Hopefully, you have enough room on the shank for that. Otherwise, you'll need to get a shank with more drop.

There is no way of knowing ahead of time.
Dropping the head 2 spaces is to get you started. You need to do a full setup, including front wheel well measurements, to determine if the head angle is still the right setup for proper weight distribution.

Was the trailer level when hitched to the Expy.

Before doing anything, I would hitch-up to the F250 and evaluate.

Check the installation instructions for your WDH and go through the process as if it were new.
