Battery Charger for Toad

I'm setting up a 2004 Jeep Wrangler to tow behind my Isata 3. I have the tow bar, braking system (Blue Ox Patriot), break away system and lights figured out. I'd like to add a wire to charge the Jeeps battery while underway. Is it that simple just to run a wire from the 12 volt aux contact on the motorhome to the Jeep battery? Maybe with the Blue Ox system I'm worrying about something needlessly. It only draws on the battery when activated and the Jeep is towed with the key off.

Probably not necessary in your case, but you can run a wire from the 7 way connectors 12 volt charge line to your battery. At least include a 20 amp self resetting breaker and you could also use a diode to prevent the TOAD's battery from discharging into your RV. Sometimes the 12 volt line will go dead when the key is out of the RV, on mine it is hot all the time.
