Bed rail location...

I just bought a mint 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 w/CTD (49K mi.).


It has these bed rails installed in the bed. I believe that they are PullRite brand. PullRite sells a SuperLite 2400 hitch that I want to buy, but I want to be sure that this will work out.

The rails are mounted aft of the rear axle.






Our 5er weighs 8K fully loaded, so any thoughts?


I have contacted PullRite via email, asked some questions, and will be awaiting their answers.

Good Morning Richard,
Thank you for contacting us. This is the traditional series SuperGlide system. This type of hitch sits down over the rails and becomes part of the hitch. Because of how this hitch is attached to the rail system it is designed so that the jaw of the SuperGlide will be close to the center of the axle.







Unfortunately, the two series of hitches, the traditional series SuperGlide’s, and the ISR 2400 SuperLite have different center to center measurements on the rail they attach to. As a result, to use the 2400 SuperLite in this truck, you would need to remove the brackets, and the base rails currently installed in the truck. Our ISR bracket, rail and hardware kit, is a 2736. And will include all of the items to attach the 2400 SuperLite to the 2006 Ram 2500. If there are any additional questions please feel free to contact us.
