True. Mine come off pretty easy

I'am new to this set up so I didn't really know... although I suspected it wasn't right. They went on with a little force but I didn't think it was that bad.

If I didn't end up with the bent bracket issue I was going to talk to my dealer about my "removing the bar" issue when we got home. Now according to what you guys are saying I think it's finally set up correctly. Even the noise is a lot less.
