When it comes down to it, it is personal preference. We can sit around and say ford this, Chevy that, Ram whatever, and it really doesn't matter cause all vehicle's have there pros and cons.

I'm not ever getting into this discussion again, unless specifically asked a specific question. No one ever changes their opinion (of anything anymore, actually).....
It's a 3 way tie. Buy whatever has the neatest color.

Agree with previous posters. Buy which ever tickles your fancy or you get the best deal on.

In my neck of the woods the Ranchers and Farmers tend to go Ram then Ford and then Chevy. My personal choice is Ram tow, Ford ride, chevy pretty

As others said, personal preference. I have no dog in the fight, but I have noticed around here that there seems to be at least 4 Dodges to every 1 Chevy or Ford on the used car lots.

I will say if you want a truck assembled in the USA do not buy a RAM truck they are assembled in Mexico. Some Dodge assemble is currently being done in the USA but after 2017 it will all be performed out side the USA. Of course assembled in the USA does not mean that the parts may not of been built anywhere in the world. But the big three are very similar and any of them would work for you.

We looked at all three. Ended up with a Ram as it has the largest backseat area. We travel with three kids and two dogs. The slightly larger area was very important to us. If that wasn't important I would have got a Ford or Ram whatever was cheaper. The GM's were ruled out for the ridiculously stupid location of the DEF fill port. I don't want to open my hood and reach across a hot engine to add DEF

I've owned Chevys, Fords and now a Dodge. I can't find a nickel's worth of difference. I will say that used Dodge trucks seem to be more plentiful in my area, so when the time came to buy a dually, I bought a Dodge.

Thank you all. Reason I asked is I have always been a Ford man but because of price we bought a Ram. We could of spent more and got a Ford but chose to save money. Guess I was hoping to hear others experience with there's and if they changed or have continued to buy the same brand. We take great care with our autos so I guess from what I am seeing, none last longer than others. Thank you much.

All new big 3 diesels are gonna do the job very well. Comes down to what you like, interior/exterior looks, ect. I've owned them all.

Take all 3 for a test drive and see which you prefer. Chevy for some reason has low towing numbers for their HD compared to Ram and Ford that I can see. That's strange because even their 2017 1500s can tow up to 12.5k now with 2000lb payload. Unless they're changing it, Chevy also has a big ugly def tank hanging down below the passenger door that looks like it could get hit on rough roads.

Chevy's lower towing capacity is do to the gear sets they offer, Ford and Ram offer higher gears.
