22004 Jeep Wrangler TJ - Demco tow bar and baseplate

We tow a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Being a systems engineer, I probably over specified it but I went with the higher rated Demco Dominator tow bar and baseplate. It is rated for 7,500 pounds, only weighs 30 pounds. There are a number of online stores where you can get a substantial discount off of the retail price. I have used it over a year now on 2 different class A motorhomes and it has worked flawlessly. Very easy to hookup and release. Also has a limited lifetime warranty for original purchaser. My friends have a Blue OX setup they purchased used. They tow a Chevy equinox and are happy with the Blue Ox setup.

I'm using Demco and so far it has treated us well. There may be better options but that's what the dealer carried where we bought our Coach.

I have the Blue Ox system also. The base plate was relatively easy to install on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I had also install a BO base plate on my Honda CRV which was harder to do. I used the Blue Ox Aventa tow bar and it works just fine. I have been using this system since 2009.

We tow with the Blue Ox Avail & Baseplate (with the Kar Guard II rock guard). SMI Air Force One brake system.

We are moving campgrounds tomorrow - as long as CRS does not strike, I will try to get you better close up photos
