Best Place To Purchase an Equalizer WD Hitch ?
Kicking around the idea of replacing my current WD hitch with an Equalizer 12K and was wondering where the best place to purchase it from would be ? Seems places like Etrailer.com and Dryers have some good pricing. Are there any other places out there where you can find some good deals ? I'm doubting my local dealers will price match any online prices
I would prefer to get the system with a 2.5" shank and the 6" drop it looks like Equalizer will let you buy the hitch without the shank and you can buy the shank best suited to your needs.

Another vote for rvwholesalers.com. I ordered one several years ago from another online retailer to save a few bucks and it had marks indicating it had been installed. Not a huge deal aesthetically, but I had no idea if bolts had been over-torqued, etc. They were rude about it, so I got a refund and ordered one from RVW.

Got mine from etrailer. Just shop around, sometimes you get lucky and someone has what you need overstocked and well discounted.

Check out PPL Motor Homes out of Texas. Bought my 8K from them last year. Prices were way below everyone else and shipping that monster was only $9.99! They run sales all the time.

RVW as the best deal when I was buying. I've heard good things about PPL, too. I use etrailer for all of my general towing needs, but WDH kits do not tend to be priced well by them.
Be advised!!!
RVW typically keeps full kits in-stock, and therefore deeply discounted. Chances are, a full kit (with a shank) might be cheaper than a kit without the shank. By whatever is cheapest. If you need another shank, etrailer will have it cheap, and you can re-sell the shank you don't need.
That's what I did several years ago (although I'm so lazy, the original shank is still sitting in my garage, in a box, unused).
Anyone want to buy an unused Equal-I-zer shank, from the standard 10k kit?

I had to move up from my 10K Equal-i-zer with the new trailer. I decided to go with Blue Ox but wanted the 2.5 shank. I talked to Blue Ox before I ordered and they said if I bought a hitch they'd swap me out for the bigger shank. All I had to do was send them my receipt from Etrailer and they sent me the new shank along with prepaid Fedex return. You can't beat that for customer service but you might call Progressive and ask if they'll do the same if you buy an Equal-i-zer.
PPL usually has the best price but they don't include the hitch ball. Etrailer includes the ball and I think they'll mount it for you before they ship. Don't know about RVW but it's something to consider. The nut for the ball is inset and you need a thinwall 1 and 7/8th socket to properly torque it. The socket is also available but it's $58. So just make sure exactly what you are getting from each source before you order and consider shipping and tax. PPL wasn't the best for me because of taxes. Same with Amazon.

I just bought one on Amazon. it was cheaper than Etrailer and was free two day shipping with my Amazon prime. In fact the Amazon price with shank was cheaper than the Etrailer "without shank" price.
I didn't need the shank since I had one, but got it anyway since it was cheaper
