Bike rack and towing with one hitch?

We bought this Yakima bike rack but now we may also want to tow a Bug behind our FR3. Is there any way to somehow attach both to one hitch at the back of our RV? TIA!

Yes. You can get a dual-receiver hitch extender. Hook up the tow bar to the Bug in the bottom receiver, and the bike rack in the top receiver. Check that your tow bar is long enough that the bikes won't hit the front of the car on turns. Here's a link to one available from etrailer.

And here's one from Harbor Freight....

Just make sure any dual hitch will be heavy enough for what you want to haul/carry.

Measure and template with cardboard first. The dual receive adapters vary in space between the upper and lower.

In my case, we use one to Dolly tow as well as a cargo basket (with 150 lbs load}. The cargo basket is has an offset bar which raises it enough to clear the dolly.

Depending on your needs, you can get a dual receiver with a long hitch adapter for clearance, or a hitch with a second receiver on top.

Image. The distance is deceiving. There is several inches clearance between the carrier and the car bumper. The carrier clears the dolly by about 6 inches at the ball and has plenty of clearance for the road
