You're correct in that the WD bars are permanently installed. I love my ProPride but I find the stinger heavy. I'd guess ~50 lbs; I'll weight it next chance I get.

I am seriously considering the Blue Ox sway pro 1500 to replace the Husky. Can anyone who owns the Blue Ox please share the weight of the hitch head?
Thanks in advance.

Get a hitch pin that locks. Twice a year remove and lube the pin. At that time slide the head part way out and lube so it does not rust. Get a ball cover ~~ never remove the hitch head.
I was in the same situation. Now with the 5er hooking/unhooking is so much nicer.

I thought the stinger stayed on and you back into it. Shows how much I know.

Copied this from the AirStream Forum. Answer is from Sean of ProPride:

It's 55 pounds with the 2.5" receiver end.

Last FYI. I received the Blue Ox swaypro hitch yesterday. I took out our digital scale and weighed both complete hitch heads including hitch ball. The Centerline weighs 76.6 lbs. The Swaypro weights 48.3 lbs. A huge difference! Took me two hours to install the Blue Ox, had to move both batteries inboard. Can't wait to try it out!

Ugggg...
Leaving in a standard drawbar/ball is tacky enough. Leaving an entire WDH head is just plain ugly.

...but yeah, it would solve the problem!
