Brake Control Install

Have a Prodigy 2 control want to install on a recently purchased 1999 Sportscoach 380 MBS. Has a trailer plug but only wired for a trailer with out brakes. Need to connect controller to brake switch which appears to be mounted on side of air valve in left front compartment of the motor home. Would be great to have a schematic of the coach but they are no longer available. Have obtained one from Freightliner for the chassis. Has anyone done an install of control like this?

The prodigy is pretty simple, 3 wires. Watch the colors on the wires for the prodigy. One wire has 12 volts all the time. One wire gets tapped in to the brake light switch, the side witch turns on the brake lights. The other wire runs all the way to the back, to the trailer plug for the trailer brakes, and you may just have to run yourself. Since you said you have a trailer plug, I assume 4 wire. That would be ground, plus the wires for brake/turn and parking. Can tap these for you new trailer plug. Good luck, and hope this helps a little.

Thanks for your responce. Have installed several different broake contollers on vehicles in the past so I am familiar with how they get wired. Never have wired into a vehicle with air brakes as the 380MBS has. Hoping that someone that has done this type of install might see my post and reply. Beleive the brake light switch is on the air valve for the braakes. Looks like 2 separate switches located below the floor of the unit.
