Brake Control Setting?

Just curious what brake control setting most folks are using?

My old unit had both a % and a sensitivity setting. My current unit factory installed in the truck I believe may just have the % setting... At least that's all I've seen so far.

It might be good to list what type of brake controller you have.

I have a Valley Odyssey, and I have it set around 7.6 on the road, and cut it back to 6.8 or so in town so the brakes won't grab.

My current BC is factory installed by Ford... Not sure if they make it or supplied by another.

My previous BC was a Husky Quest... Just placed on Craigslist List.

I have a Ford factory unit that I set at 5. I think what matters most is what feels right for your set up.

I have a Prodigy and it is set at 5.6 - I havent had to adjust mine

Like stated abovd - set it to what you feel comfortable with - I set mine so when I apply the brakes lightly I can see the controller start to apply the trailer brakes. Each person has a diffrent way of setting there's
