Brake controller malfunction

While driving down highway I get a error message that broke controller is disconnected and not working

I have zero trailer brakes at this time.

Everything is plugged in perfectly.

Any suggestions?

I have factory brake control from Dodge
Always worked perfectly.

You may have a broken or shorted wire on the trailer. Check the wiring from each brake back to the truck connector and/or trailer frame. Look for pinched/broken/frayed wires. Tug on each connection, make sure it's not loose.

Did you check to make sure you are still plugged in good. Trailer pigtail dragging ground.? Pigtail get pinched? Have you unplugged, and replugged to see if bad connection?

That's where I would start first

Next door had the same issue. 2018 Ford F-150. Turned out to be the harness from the cab to the back of the rear deck needed replaced.

No brakes, that’s scary. Good thing it let you know.
