Yes the P3 has all the bells and whistles. There was only a $20 difference between the p2 and the p3. And if you get the pig tail already made by prodigy that made specifically for your truck it will be a 15 minute job. It's about extra 10 bucks for the pig tail but worth it.

Yep - just extra bells and whistles on the P3. Either the Prodigy P2 or P3 will work just fine. What is the Difference Between Prodigy P2 and P3 Brake Controllers

Check RVWholesalers.com or Adventurerv.net for decent pricing for the controller and harness.

Etrailer has some good videos on the setup and installation. Its not a hard install if you have the harness to match your truck. Otherwise, its a bit more involved. If you have the harness, its plug and play and the hardest decision is where to mount the BC.

Thanks! one more question if you don't mind. When the dealer installted my current controller, I had to have a plug from Ford. Is this the pigtail in question or do I have to buy another one?

I don't know. I had to order one on the two vehicles I have had. You might just order the harness along with your BC and return it if your current harness works.

Loved my Prodigy P3 in my old truck. My last 2 new ones had integrated controllers. P3 is better than the integrated controllers. You had more options and and settings
