Brand New 2009 F250

Bought a brand new 09 F250 4x4. I wasn't looking just stopped by a Ford Dealer, looking for that turbo v-6. The list price was 39985.00 they gave me 13000.00 off. My trade in was a 2006 Nissan Titan Club Cab with 96000 miles, about 800 dollars in body damage. They gave me 11800. The dealer had purchased trucks from a dealer who went out of business, this was the last truck they had. I think the only reason was it was a regular cab long bed,. They just need someone it would work for.

There is just me, so the new truck being a regular cab was no big deal. I know some will say I should have bought a 2011 as the motors are bigger, better gas mileage, but the way I figure it is this has a 5.4 3.73. The truck is xlt loaded. Every year there is new, big, better. The price was right, I could afford it, and it does what I need. I tow a camper and a motorcycle with a motorcycle loader. I needed the carrying cap of the truck. Wasn't to big on the color but had to give up something.

You did very well and you will enjoy your new truck for a long time. The 5.4 is relatively torquey compared to similar sized competitive brands. You will do just fine!

Truck looks great. Nothing wrong with the color.

I have the 5.4 V8, 3:73 gears in mine as well. I don't have to worry about any mountains so it works for me. Tow a tt approx 8500 lbs loaded and it does just fine around 62 mph and I keep the cruise control on. It will down shift to 3rd and get up to about 3800 rpm's on some of the longer, steeper hill climbs in eastern OK, but the trans temp guage never moves so I'm OK with that.

Good luck and enjoy that new truck!

Very nice. The main thing is that it works for you. The extra room, or bigger newer engines would be nice, but hey..sometimes it's better to get the deal. Especially when it works in your favor. I had the 5.4 in my other truck, the older 2V (2003), and it was a great engine. Never put it in the shop for anything. It has 125,000 miles when I sold it, and the guy I sold it to lives just down the street and is pulling another travel trailer with it. Just a super truck.

Congrats and enjoy it!
