Butch's 5th Wheel Lath Kit

Question for users of the Butch's 5th Wheel Latch Kit. Would anyone think there would be an issue using this Kit on a Pro 15K and Sidewinder. I am worried the wedges used to engage the sidewider may be in the way or cause mobility issues. From all the pictures on his web site I think it should be ok but checking in with actual useser.

Mike

I would email or call Butch.
He makes the pin sets custom for each hitch type.

If there is one for your hitch on his web site it should work fine.

Just got an email from Him - gave me a few pictures with wedges. The seem to be close to the latch bar but not touching it so I think it maybe okay. I have no idea if there is any movement near the wedge as I travel so not sure if the wedges will hit/knock against the bar

I used Butch's design and fabricated my own and welded it on the hitch and it does not interfere with the Sidewinder wedge.

So you welded right on to what I refer to as the lapels..good move. I have 0 experience in welding and mechanic's so need to stick to the Butch's kit and installation. Just sent him an email for info on shipping cost and delivery time. I am thinking for $60 USD, worth trying.

It was just a matter of being lazy, would of had to cut plates, weld the tubes on the plates and then drill the holes. This way all I had to do was cut the tubes and weld them on.
