Full disclosure: I know virtually nothing about Diesel engines. But I am thinking maybe trading my Tundra for a diese. Seems I have read some threads that suggest some years of diesels were not so good. Don't know if they were GM, Ford, or Dodge Ram, maybe some of each. So the question is, which years, size and mfgr should I stay away from?

I traded my Tundra for a used 2011 F350 6.7 SRW and as much as i would tout the strong Tundra engine the diesel is much better/stronger. Majority of my reason to trade up was payload went from 940 avail to almost 3450. Truck weighs around 8000-8100 loaded and has 11500 GVWR.
As an earlier poster said pulls my 8400# trailer at 65mph in 6th gear at around 1600 rpm and rarely down shifts
