Keep in mind the bigger the truck, the rougherthe ride. Air ride seats,cab and suspensionhelp quite a bit. But you still have a relatively short wheelbase to contend with, and I'm sure that's where most of your rough ride complaints can be traced back to.

I had '02 6500 Kodiak with a 16' flatbed and a Cat motor. Put 4-6 ton on the bed, and it started to ride half way decent. Empty it would beat you up, but I did like listening to that Cat motor.

Thanks for all your input, this forum is great.

For sh*7 and giggles I also posted in the MDT forum on IRV2 and didn't get even one reply. I don't go ever there much, put since this was a not FR specific post and they have a MDT forum, I thought I'd try.

Now I know why I only use the FR forum, and have an FR product.
