I have an 2011 F-350 CC 4x4 6.7 Diesel. Door jam says Front Gawr 5600 lbs Rear Gawr 7000 Gawr of 10000. Tires are 20 inch w. a load rating of 3750 lbs. each We are looking to buy a Columbus 320RS w. a hitch wt. of 2015 lbs. unloaded so im guessing loaded would be around 2400 lbs. There are 2 calculators on my site that should help:
http://www.towingplanner.com

1) calculating available payload by estimating weights and working backwards from your available payload doorjamb sticker

2) estimating loaded/actual pin weight based on dry weights

#2400 lb pin is no problem for your truck. I have about a 2300lb pin in my 250 and it tows like a dream! Have fun camping!

Your one ton diesel truck will have no issues with that Columbus fifth wheel. Buy it and enjoy it.

The only way you are going to know is to load the truck with everything, driver, passengers, fuel, hitch, dogs, firewood and head to a scale.

I'm guessing you will find your truck weighs some where around 8,000 lbs. With a GVWR of 10,000 - 8,000 = 2,000 available pin weight.

My truck has the same GVWR as yours. I have weighed mine and was surprised at how little pin wgt. was left.

I"m questioning the GVWR of his truck. 10000 pounds seems too little for an F350. My three quarter ton F250 crew cab diesel 4X4 has a GVWR of 10000 pounds.

You all make in question the GVWR on my 2013 F350 FX4 6.7 3:73. My sticker for the GVWR is 14,000. I have 17" tires on my F350.
