I've gotten discouraged, not disinterested. The yellow sticker on my 06 Titan 4x4 SE reads 6580. That's not good. I guess a light weight 5th wheel just isn't made light enough for me. I don't want a Scamp! My 06 Nash 21-5 will have to do. Maybe I'll get a Lance 1985 TT.

You will find the right Trailer when you are able to replace the Tow Vehicle. It is up to you and your finances when you can make the move. The Nash is a pretty fine TT, small, but what you can do. Enjoy the camping till the upgrade can happen and makes sense.

Your Titan is 10 years old and probably getting on up there in mileage. I had an 06 Titan when I bought my Aviator [11,000 lbs with 1,400 lb tongue weight] and it would tow it as long as it was on level roads and NO HILLS! I just couldn't abuse the truck so went to a Silverado 2500HD Duramax and can't imagine owning something that it won't tow safely.
IMHO, don't kill your truck! No tow package is a real deal breaker.

Non tow Titans are just a little shy on payload. Tow package adds a bunch, and they are towing beasts for a half ton p/u. Just reach the limit quickly. The new '16 Titan has a Cummins and a lot more towing capability.

I got the photos from FROG BOB. That is a new Columbus; I believe he said it was a Tundra.

My 06 Titan has 15,000 miles on it! Probably not worth selling even if it's 10 yrs old. I obviously use it only to tow my 5th wheel. I know, I know pretty decadent!

It will take some time to get what you need, we spent 2 yrs looking and researching before we bought our trailer. Then found out our Silverado barely makes it towable, we had the 4.8L and no tow package , hard lesson learned here. It's better to ask and get answers here. I didn't find out about this forum until after I had purchased the TT, another lesson learned.

So we just enjoyed using the trailer with limited destinations. We babied it until we got something more adequate, this year we got a Chevy 1 ton dually. With this in mind, we are planning for the future, we may upgrade our trailer to bigger one or 5th wheel or add a camper to the truck bed.

My advice is plan ahead carefully and then later trade in for what you really want. In the meantime just use what you have to enjoy camping. You can save up more without additional payments in the meantime.

Wow! 06 and 15,000 miles! I had 136,000 on my 06 when I sold it two years ago.
I would say you are good on mileage, but short on tow load with no tow package, IMHO.

Can you tell us what letters come before that 6580 number?

Looks like your max trailer weight is 7,400 lbs.
Max tongue weight is 740 lbs.
Max king pin weight is 1,110 lbs.
Gross Combined Weight Rating is 13,000 lbs.
