Is it equipped with the factory Max Tow package? If so, I believe that package is rated for 9,000 lbs tow weight.

For improved handling add a Helwig rear sway bar, Bilstein shocks, and air bags.

Last, but not least, the best hitch I have ever owned is the Equalizer 4 way hitch by Progress Manufacturing. This set up will be "rock solid" when towing.

Amen. He/she may be like the rest of us...needs "permission" from DW/DH to make the leap to a new one.

IMHO buy a bigger one than you need...ALWAYS the ending result of upgrade.

one more thing... if you have ever pulled anything that didn't want to stop when you did...THEN YOU WON'T AGAIN!!

your going to struggle as soon as you hit the mountains starting in New York or CT depending on what route you take.

I agree on the sway bar added to LT tires. Stiffens up the rear end and aids in stability.
