If you have or wouldn't mind putting a front hitch on your truck I have had good luck with my One Man Canoe Loader. I bought it off amazon a few years ago and it works pretty good.

Hey Anthony, you don't happen to have a picture of that set up for carrying your canoe on a front hitch with a fifth wheel do you? I'd be very interested in duplicating that set up, but I'm a little confused about how it works in terms of where the bow or the Stern of the canoe or kayak would sit. Is it attached to a rack on top of your vehicle cab? If so, how does it affect The line of vision in front of your vehicle?

Sorry I don't have pics. It's adjustable for height so it can go up high enough So the only thing in your line of sight will be the post. It's not bad. For the roof you can either use the foam pads or get a rack for your truck. I have a set of rhino racks I use on my f250. Pretty easy to put on take off.

I have seen several Canoe racks that utilize the Front Tow Hook plates for attachment location of front support,as most Off Road Campers have 4x4! They use Yakima units on the roof! Youroo!!
