cargo van to passenger van

found a 2008 express 2500 duramax diesel that is a cargo van. would need a passenger van. wonder how hard it would be to add two rows of seats and a few windows. I would not even know where to find a company that might do this. the van only has 80000 miles seems like hardly worn in for a diesel. the tow rating is close to 10000 as a cargo would lose a few with seats I am sure but not much. It would tow the rockwood 8316 and the fam. without a problem I would think. Anyone ever done a conversion like this.

Try a salvage yard, or E-Bay. You would have to get the seat and the seat belt assembly

depends if the seats are self contained for the seatbelts. i dont think its quite legal..

you need to find out if the floor has the mounting points for both the seats and the belts.

IIRC, the cargo floors are very different than the passenger models....

yet i know the dodge minivans were the same but the mount in the floor was just not installed and a plastic filler was placed inside and carpeted over.

id say look her over first for the seats before making a decision.
