Cat scales

Took. TT over to get new tires installed

Went to Cat Scales ( 1st time), don't know of done it right but this is what I did

Left the 4 way equalizer hitch on truck and trailer just like going down the road

Pulled on scales up to front to where the intercom was , gave information to him
Me and the wife in truck

Should I've taken off equalizer bars ? And just had the TT setting on the ball ?

The slip of paper showed 4 items >>
Steer axle. 3,000
Drive axle 3,740
TT axle 6,580

* Gross weight. 13,320
How do i I compare the numbers that are on the truck and TT to the scale sheet ?
Thanks

Ideally, you should go across the scales 3 times with the passengers and cargo in the same position each time

1. Truck and trailer with spring bars.
2. Truck and trailer without spring bars.
3. Truck alone. I just drop my trailer in the back lot while doing that.....nobody has even complained.

Not knowing what your truck alone front axle weight is, it is a little hard to determine how the WDH should be setup. My initial thought is that you probably need some more wight distributed to the front axle.

I started working on a post, but since it was getting REALLY long, and I needed to take the DW's car in for inspection, I finished it as a PDF while I waited for the car.

This way I can just upload the procedure I use (one for Travel Trailers and a different one for 5th wheels) to the library.

There are 2 OTHER files on how to weigh your travel trailer there as well.

Here is the one for the 5th wheel
