Catalina 323bhdsck

Can a 2018 1500 Silverado 5.3L v8 ecotec3 tow this?
Tow weight capacity is 9400.

The Catalina 323bhdsck dry weight is 7844, I figure 500 lb of stuff. Puts me at 8300.

I am short distance rver, 2-3 hours from house max, 6 times a year.

What's the trailer's tongue weight and the Silverado's payload capacity?

These are the right questions to ask. The key calculation is if the truck has adequate payload to carry this trailer's tongue weight (which I am guessing will be about 1,100 lbs), plus the weight of the hitch, passengers and other cargo in the truck.

If the driver's side door sticker on your truck says: "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 2,170 lbs," then I'd say your Silverado can well handle the Catalina trailer. I am impressed; that is probably the highest actual payload I have ever heard for a 1/2 ton truck.

You mean DRY hitch weight is 820lbs.
Once you add battery weight, water weight and cargo weight, it'll easily weigh at least 1000lbs.

1000lbs sounds about right, but I do not ever carry water. Water is supplied everywhere we camp.
