Or 3k for. DEF filter......?????

But then again I changed my oil in the cummins before my Yellowstone trip in Sept.
(Including air filter) for just over sixty bucks for parts.

Just going by Canadian dealer pricing.

I was a Ford diesel tech for quite a while.
That's why I bought the v10.
Ford injectors are close to a grand Ea.

Over $1500 ea. for one injector?

My " quotes " are from actual invoices I have written as a Ford tech.

There is no comparing a naturally aspirsted gas to a direct injected turbo diesel. The closest gas to diesel atm is the ecoboost 3.5 because it too is turbo charged and direct injected. If, or when, ford releases the 5.0l ecoboost it will blur the lines in the SD segment and the other 2 will have to either follow suit or dust off their shelved 4-5 liter diesel projects to remain competitive. IMO, most of us don't need 8-900 ft lbs of torque but would gladly pay a lesser premium to get a better towing experience.

Has anyone tried the new Nissan cummins? Is it even available yet?
