I have yet to figure why your comparing Ford diesel prices to your Chevy gas truck. Fords seem to cost more than Chevy. Why, who knows. I paid $47k for a moderately equipped 2014 Chevy 3500 diesel. Can't hardly by a Ecoboost F150 for that.
As far as your defending not needing a diesel, I can understand your point. Per your own words on another thread, you haven't towed for years, didn't tow your own camper to it's seasonal site, and don't plan on towing for years. Of course you have no need for a diesel. Some of us do, and can easily justify the cost.
